About Me

I'm a 3D Modeller currently working for Framestore CFC in London. Welcome to my online space!

HP 'Unleash the Beast'

Today I did a live 1 hours speed-sculpt at HP's Zed:

"Join five modellers from London VFX house Framestore at 1-2PM on 27th September for one of their weekly "Lunchcrunch" sessions live from ZED. See how they sculpt a creature within one hour on the theme of "Unleash The Beast" using Autodesk's Mudbox. From a primitive starting point to a fully-fledged character - come and be inspired.

So I ended up with this odd Tribal lizardy dude.

Inside-Out

So I sculpted this horrible thing today. The theme was 'inside out creatures'.

Lunch Crunch Roundup

A few of my 45 minute sculpts from the last month or so. First we have an Alien Helmet. I enjoyed designing an object based more around hard surfaces for this model.

A Pirate Smurf. Just because:

And a Giant Mutant Worm:

Weekend Anatomy Study

Working on my anatomy a bit more here, sculpting a bit of torso detail. This is a WIP a the moment, I'll go back and continue working it up soon.

Great Cthulu

Still riffing off my Lovecraft inspiration, I've done my own version of Great Cthulu! My first go at a full body sculpt in a while.

Deep One

.
I've just finished reading the Call of Cthulu by H.P. Lovecraft, feeling very inspired. Did this hour speed sculpt at lunchtime today. It's supposed to be a "Deep One", a half fish half frog creature of the deep.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

Spent about 2 and a half hours sculpting what I believe a teenage mutant ninja turtle would look like in real life. Just because.

New Showreel

New demo reel! I'm aware it's lacking in the hard surface modelling department, I was hoping Gravity would be out sooner than it will be.

Life Drawing

I like to get in a little life drawing in when I can. Nothing better for improving observation skills. Here are a few selections from last year:

Addict.

Sometimes we just feel this way... lunch crunch done in about 45 mins.

Jack Frost

It's Jack Frost! Afternoon zbrush sculpt, took about three hours on this one.

Hello, Mr.Shark

Evening sculpt.

Varghulf

Another lunchtime sculpt, based on the warhammer figurine below:

FrankenRat

Bit of a random lunchtime sculpt... took me about 45 minutes.

Alien

Testing my new wacom out by sculpting an alien... because everyone loves zbrush aliens. Took about an hour.

Goblin

Here is a Goblin I sculpted a while back now. I like Goblins. I was originally using this as a project to help me learn Zbrush, but I eventually took it further and decided to retopologise the little guy.

Let the blogging commence!

Time to start blogging up some of my misc 3D work. Much of this will probably be speed sculpts, a little zbrush stuff, a little maya stuff. Just a place to collect some of my work online!
